Basic Steps for Armchair Fabric Replacement & Repair (DIY Guide)
- Chair Assess Karo aur Prep Frame check karo – wood cracks, loose joints? Agar hai to wood glue ya screws se repair kar lo pehle. Fabric remove karne se pehle bohot saare photos lo har angle se (inside, outside, arms, back) – yeh reverse order mein lagane mein bohot help karega.
- Purana Fabric Remove Karo (Deconstruction) Chair ko ulta ya side pe rakho. Bottom se shuru karo (dust cover, skirt, outside back). Staple remover, pliers, flat screwdriver use kar ke staples/tacks nikaalo. Layers remove karo in order: outside back → outside arms → inside back → deck/seat → inside arms. Old padding/foam bhi check karo – agar sagging ya torn hai to replace.
- Repairs aur Padding Replacement
- Frame repair: Loose joints glue karo, sand karo agar paint chahiye.
- Foam/Padding: Seat aur back pe high-density foam (2-4 inch) ya batting lagao. Old pieces ko template bana ke cut karo (electric knife best). Spray adhesive se fix karo. Arms pe curved padding ke liye batting wrap karo.
